Since I know there are some gamers around here---

Being in my mid 20's, I've grown up with the generation of gamers from NES to the current gen systems.

Other than old school 80's 90's PC games (Leisure Suit Larry, King's Quest, etc), I have never been much of a PC gamer.

The hype surrounding Starcraft II has me interested, but I've never really been into "RTS" games, PC or console.

I tried to play some Starcraft 1 last night and I was confused as hell and gave up.

Am I missing something. Would it really be worth the effort to try and figure out what the balls is going on in that game, or am I too late to the party.

You either like RTS games, or you don't. There's no "in between". I used to play Warcraft a lot when I was young (11-12) but I'm almost 22 now and can't stand that genre of games.

I love Warcraft(not wow) but never really got into Starcraft. Those crazy Koreans play this game like whoa.

I played the Age of Empires series and that was it for RTS for me. Starcraft, Red Alert, and all the other ones that futuristic didn't interest me. AOE never had air units, which was awesome, because air units are total bullshit and OP (overpowered, for you non RTSers).

Loved Warcraft II back in the day, and had a time where I was into C&C Red Alert. But that was about it for my RTS days. I did download Warcraft II for my PC about a year ago and it brought back some memories of sheep slaughtering.

I'm mainly a FPS player, but I do own and love Company of Heroes. It's the best RTS game there is out there. I really have no interest in Star Craft.

I played Warcraft I, Warcraft II, StarCraft, Age of Empires, and some other game. Definitely was looking forward to SC2. I remember getting on Warcraft II and Starcraft on terrible dial-up modems to play friends.

Beyond that also was a big fan of Counter Strike (different genre I know)

I never had consoles so I always stuck with a few PC games.

I was a big console gamer until I discovered Counter Strike and other PC games. I never went back to consoles after that. Once you go PC, you don't look back.

I love RTS games.

The big deal however is that literally every Korean (South) will buy this game twice.

I disagree with you mate, coz in my case I do play PC games and console games. There are console games that I love that not available in PC. I really enjoy playing in using both consoles and PC.

I have to play sports games on a console. EA shows no love for PC gamers.

Pretty much. I like turn-based strategy (Shining Force, Fire Emblem, Front Mission, FF Tactics), but never could get into RTS. Played the original Warcraft some, but never really got into it.
