Didn't really intend on seeing this but tagged along with friends last night to see it for the hell of it. I'll try not to spoil it too much, but read with caution:
The upside is Angelina Jolie is hot. That's really the best thing it had going for it. I didn't like how 2/3 of the movie the focus is how not only can no one catch her, but no one can even lay a damn finger on her. It's probably one of those movies that you take with a grain of salt (pun intended) and not worry about how far-fetched it all is, but it certainly tests the limits. God I hope Russia really isn't training these super-agents that can single-handedly outsmart and outmaneuver hundreds of cops, CIA agents, the FBI, and secret service. My favorite part was at the beginning when she was locked (I think?) in an interrogation room being monitored, then the next thing you know she's on an elevator and no one knows how the hell she got there - and I'll be dammed if they think to close the doors or cut the power in time to stop her.
The whole premise of how she continually escapes seems lazy. Guards are temporarily stunned and she escapes the CIA building. She continually jumps from truck to truck to escape pursuing agents. She crashes a police SUV, and dozens of on-lookers only think to assist the injured cop from the car - NO ONE gives a second look to the woman climbing out of the backseat and walking away. She sneaks into the cellar of the White House and punches out agents when they aren't looking to get their keycards. At the end she literally shoots through a concrete wall to gain entrance to a bunker.
I hope Homeland Security was paying attention and taking note to just how weak we really are.

I know this doesn't mean too much but last night as I was going into Grown Ups I heard one of the ushers across the hall say wow there are only 2 people watching Salt. With that being said Grown Ups has been out for a month and it was packed last night. I was shocked. I may go see Salt but I doubt it. The next flick I will probably go see is The Other Guys. Jolie is definitely hot though.

Have zero desire to see this and even if I did lowry boy would've pretty much just squashed it. How can so many shitty movies come out? Some movies, you can just watch the trailer and be like that is going to be so fucking stupid, I can't believe people went through with all the trouble takes to make this. Not that this one was THAT extreme but it still struck me as pretty uninteresting.

So this movie just sounds like it is a continuation of her role in "Wanted"

Unfortunately $11.00 of that is from me. I read a review from movies.com and someone there said they were basically trying to make something similar to the Bourne series, but they screwed up so much in the process and didn't realize it. My biggest problem was just how lazy they were with the redundant plot. The first hour is countless agents coming so close to catching her but can't. They're about to shoot her but she dodges around a corner. She escapes a building because everyone was stunned from a homemade bomb she set off. At one point she's handcuffed in a police cruiser sitting inbetween two guards, but manages to subdue them through headbutting and kicking, and also makes two other cruisers crash and burn in the process. They set it up like everyone around her is fucking retarded.
I wanted to see Inception but they had already seen it.

The movie is non stop from beginning to end, however the theme is soooo much like the Jason Bourne/Italian Job plots that it was almost so predictable to watch. Of course the ending was left for a sequel, which didn't thrill me.
