When I lived in Cody, I went to YSP like 100 times. I was always praying that I'd get to see this, because people are retarded. I've seen kids slap the bison on the ass, I've seen guys chasing elk, I've seen a guy take his 5 yr. old son up to within 10 feet of a grizzly cub and mother, anything to take a "great picture". I'm really disappointed I didn't get to see this shit.

LOL! As soon as I saw it start bucking I was reminded of all those shows like Crocodile Hunter how they rely on these clues to know when they need to back-off - and you can hear her husband in the background "back back back".
In fairness, I don't know how close she really got. You'd expect the trees to provide somewhat a natural barrier, and seems falling is what startled the animal. But, lesson learned, it was on them remarkably fast....so I guess they were too close!
But why do you need "a closer look" when you have a video camera with zoom?

Read the segment someone from another group threw something at the Bison.

This. People are screwed up. What is it with people that want to screw with a 2,000 lb animal with horns. I have always marveled at the dumb asses that do these things. Look at the annual running of the bulls in Spain. Its a national event. Lets all get shitfaced, piss off a dozen bulls with big horns, and run down a narrow street with them.
