This lady was a severe anorexia patient at one of the top clinics in the world. I watched a special on her. When watching this video during the special, it's sad. When just watching the video by itself, it's VERY CREEPY!

Why do we keep pushing our girls to be thinner and thinner? The harder we push girls to be thinner, the more cases of anorexia there are. There is a correlation here that we're missing.

I remember seeing that a long time ago and i was creeped out. I didn't think it was real, but apparently it is. Very sad.

Once many years ago I had an athlete who was a victim of this. We couldn't tell at first but as the Summer passed and the regular season began, it was becoming visibly obvious. The parents were frantic and took their daughter to restaurants and tried to get her to eat. She, of course, denied that she wasn't eating and would put food on her fork, put it in her mouth and either spit it under the table or keep it in her mouth, and her weight would eventually go down to the 60's. Finally, they admitted her to the hospital and as far as I know, she was finally able to overcome this terrible condition and return to a normal life. I had never seen it before and it was one of the scariest things I've ever encountered. Because of that and some additional research I did at the time, I never ever tell a girl she looks heavy or that she needs to lose weight. That's what anorexics believe. That they are fat when in reality, they look like escapees from a Nazi prison camp.
