Drove by Westerville Central this morning and saw new turf being installed. Along with last year's seat capacity expansion, Central now has one of the best football stadiums in Central Ohio. No track around the field puts fans right on top of the action, unlike UA or Gahanna where you feel like you ned binocs to see the field.

Is Magistro going to get these boys into the playoffs this year? I live in the district and catch a couple games a year. Looking forward to seeing the new turf.

Central lost alot of skill position talent from a team that went 5 - 5 last year so my best guess is that the play-offs might be wishful thinking. They do have OSU TE recruit Nick Vannett who was not utilized much last year. Hopefully Magistro realizes that if Tressel is willing to sign this kid, he must be a true stud and figure out ways to get the ball in his hands. At 6'6" / 245 - I'd be lining this kid up in the FB spot on short yardage situations and get almost every first down you need.

How did they manage to get artificial turf at one Westerville School and not the other two? I understand if the WC folks raised the money, but politically I know a lot of school districts won't let one school get something like that unless the others in the district get it or have it.

South gets it in 2012 and North gets it in 2014. Don't know how they decided who got it first.

Hilliard Bradley has turf while Davidson and Darby do not.As for the seats at UA being so far from the field, are you sure your not confusing it with Coffman.I am not even sure their visitors bleachers are even in Dublin.

looking forward to seeing the new turf at Central, going to a game on Sept. 11th to see Columbus Crusaders play Martins Ferry Purple Riders. Coach Magistro was an asst. coach at Ferry back in the late 70's.
