thank you, i work with a guy from struthers and hes been trying to tell me the series is tied up. and i knew that it wasnt but didnt have facts. and to the point that no one takes this game serious anymore, he told me struthers is very dedicated to beating campbell this year. they felt disrespected that we had our 20 yr celebration during the struthers game and were not happy with some of the "antics" after the game. the quote was "we will not let campbell do those fruity devil jumping jacks on our field." so campbell better be ready for struthers because it seems like the struthers staff is making this a main goal for the season. fyi the guy i work with has a son on the team.

THIS IS WHAT WAS POSTED FROM A STRUTHERS FAN ON THE 'OTHER' SITE.
The Struthers-Campbell rivalry is one of the most storied, historic High School Football rivalries in Ohio. It is considered second only to Mooney-Ursuline as the greatest rivalry in the Mahoning Valley.
Campbell leads the series 44-37.
Struthers is 7-5 against Campbell since the rivalry was revived back in 1999.
Struthers is 5-1 against Campbell since the Hard Hat Trophy was brought out of retirement in 2004.
BOTH RECORDS ARE PRETTY CLOSE. I TRUST DEAN MORE THOUGH LOL.

Actually, the gentleman from Struthers is correct. I had it 44-37-2. But for whatever reason, my 37 turned to a 34 !!!! As far as the rivalry goes, it may be storied alright. But most of the stories are from the past. This rivalry is nowhere near where it once was, sad to say.

The Struthers game should be a good one especially if they are pissed about the 20 year thing. I believe that Campbell is going to have one of the best offensive attacks in the area this year. If the defense can step it up and stop some people look out.
Does anyone have scrimmage dates and times for Campbell?

I'm not old enough to remember the SVC days, but they had some great battles in the MVC (I miss that conference). It seems like it has been awhile since both programs put together a solid stretch of years at the same time, that can hurt a rivalry. Also, they haven't really been in the same conference for about 15 years (I'm not counting a conference with a million divisions as really being in the same conference), so that can hurt the rivalry. Good luck to the Devils this year.

Guys I was informed tonight that the rivalry is Campbell, 45-34-2. So we are all in the same ballpark. As far as being upset about the devils celebrating their 20th yr reunion during the Struthers game.... That was because we figured that would be the game that would draw the most fans. Yea right. Tell the guy you work with to deal with it. You know what I like it though. Something to get a fire started. I like that.

the guy i work with just likes to run his mouth...he didnt even grad from shs. hes just a super dad n dork. he said we got lucky last year because of a fumble. this is really the bottomline....STRUTHERS HIGH SCHOOL HAS NEVER WON ANYTHING IN ANYTHING! they got a couple conference titles and so on...but lets be realistic struthers has never won a state championship or even played in multiple final fours in any of the major sports. so struthers fans im sorry...but the misery continues this year.

If cmhs_pride got his information from whom I am guessing he did, that information is correct. I mean the guy is a walking high school football encylopedia.

It's not really a secret and in all honesty upsetting in my opinion. Polands qb will not play this year due to a season ending injury. Very unfortunate for this kid. I hate seeing that with young people. Don't be surprised if Darius Patton is under center. Interesting to see how the Dogs respond. If I want to watch one young man in tier 1........ Jordan Italiano. Heart and soul and tremendous work ethic when he trains. Love the kid. Built like a train. And fast, very fast. Trust me.
By the way I made a mistake the record.... 44-35-2. If I messed up again I give up!

Yep...he should have stayed...but he didnt and i dont know if the major role player was his Father...his own decision....A couple of Poland Coaches, or whatever. What i do know is this...if I am a Red Devil and you dont want to be....adios. Don't let the door hit you on the way out. Nothing against any one school here. My point is that needs to be the overall concensus of this years team. I believe they wrote him off the day after. What could have been with him is scary...I wont deny that. But you know what....if they shore up that defensive front.....what is GOING TO BE is even scarier right now.
