Don't know if this belongs on the political boards, but here goes anyway. If you have elderly parents, it's a good idea to win their trust in accompanying them before they make irrational investment decisions.
Elder folks with big chunks of money are easy targets for con men. Don't let this happen to your loved ones. Be tactful, but pro active in addressing your concerns. If nothing else, forward these types of articles to them and remind them to only deal with those they've known for a long time.

My parents (mother/stepfather) aren't wealthy in funds per say. What they do have they are far to suspicious in general to be risky with.
The people in my family that are wealthy I have no idea what they do with it all, it's not really my business. But, I'm pretty sure they've used the same trustworthy handlers for years, thus keeping them wealthy lol

I believe all elderly folks with lots of money should invest it with me. I'm safe and secure, and promise to take very, very good care of it.
