Pat Haden, the voice of Notre Dame football on NBC, will take over. Thank god I will no longer have to listen to his voice on home Saturdays.


Also, the story has been updated to include information that Bush's Heisman will be returned as well. USC president is cleaning house.

...I'm not surprised that USC is keeping the AD job in house with a former Trojan like Hayden. Best of luck to him, he's got a huge job in trying move forward from the mess Garrett left him.

Thank goodness. Now if we could only get Tom Hammond and that big fuckin' water buffalo head of his out of the booth we'd be alright.

I wonder who NBC will get to replace Haden? How about The Bus? I hear that he's from Detroit.

agreed. Maybe Hammond will head west and accept a position in the compliance office. His big fuckin' water buffalo head would fit in nicely out there.

So this was a move to try and help their appeal? Pat Haden is one of my earliest "favorite" players, hope he works out for them as AD. Should've canned Garrett a long time ago, especially when he talked shit all the time waiting on their penalties to be handed down.

Now it will be interesting to see if the NY Athletic Club actually revokes Bush's Heisman -- because this only means the school has returned the trophy. Bush hasn't said HE is doing it. I doubt he will, either, because that would show a little character.

If I were Kiffin, I'd be sure not to unpack all of my bags and to be in a short-term apartment lease. From what I've read, Haden was critical of USC's decision to hire him. Given Kiffen was involved in a lot of the prior allegations, the Trojans might be looking for a new coach next season.

I don't have a problem with Hammonds, he has a good voice and gets excited when ND does something good but thank God Haden is gone. A USC guy doing color for ND games.......what was NBC thinking?

I like the idea of Bettis doing color but the more realistic choice IMO would be Joe Thiesman. Regardless, let's hope the get an ND guy in the booth!

Theismann is FUCKING awful in the booth. Sorry, but Hammond is a turd too. Let's get Don Criqui and Bettis in there.

I don't know about Regis but Montana might be good. Like I said, as long as it's an ND guy I'll be happy.

Another possible replacement would be to move Allen Pinkett from radio to TV.

The only thing surprising about USC making this move is HOW LONG it took them to do so!! This guy should have been fired weeks if not months ago! Especially after his arrogant remarks!

Montana is preparing for a return to the NFL if I remember correctly. I saw him in a commercial and he said he was in the best shape of his life.
