My wife just made three loaves of this tonight. It is the best served warm with real butter.

Any other fans of this crazy stuff?

Love it. I don't think I've tried it with butter. Cream cheese is pretty damn good on it however. Just had some last week.

Zucchini bread is excellent. I add crushed walnuts to mine. Definitely the best fresh out of the oven. But makes a great quick breakfast. Pop it in the microwave for a few seconds, spread on some butter and out the door. Easy to eat on the run.

When I was a teen.. my mom had a friend who use to make it for us. We would put butter on it and then into the microwave.

Love the stuff. Obetz has a Zuchinni fest at the end of August every year some good unusual recipes and such.

My little sister makes it all the time. According to many she has the GOAT recipe. She got it from a friends mom in our hometown

I make zuchinni bread all throughout the year. I stock up on it and slice it or shred it and then freeze it.
I just tried a new recipe about a month ago - chocolate zuchinni bread and it was friggen great!

My Grandma has been making it for as long as I remember and always in the the same cooking containers.

Hers is so dense that I call it Zucchini Cake. She grinds her zucchini and freezes it so we can have it year round. I love it with butter the best, but I like the creme cheese too.

I got the recipe from a link that a friend in Ca. sent me. It's easier than typing up my print out, so here it is haha

BTW, the picture in the link is exactly how it turns out. I also whipped up a half batch of cream cheese icing, put it in a large ramiken on a platter and fanned the sliced bread around it - this was for a Home Interiors party that I was having. There was not a slice left when the party was over.

A special bonus about zucchini (yes, Curly J got the spelling right....AND scrolling back further to check, so did I Wear Pants and majorspark!) is that you could be the worst gardener in the nation and still grow it. I swear that plant could grow off concrete!
