Figured I would post this here since it doesn't need/deserve it's own thread.
The Lakers have signed Theo Ratliff. Details won't be released, per the Lakers "rules"

I think this is a really nice move for LA. Theo has always been a good defender and should be a nice backup for Bynum.

Monday night, Matt Barnes thought he was heading to Toronto for a two-year, $9 million deal, but salary cap rules prevented that from happening. Barnes could still end up in Toronto for a smaller contract, but he also has four other teams eyeing him, ESPN.com's Marc Stein reports.
The four other teams are Cleveland, which can pay him the most, Boston, Miami and the Los Angeles Lakers.
"We are out there aggressively stoking the fire, and unfortunately, we ran into some difficulty getting this done," Raptors president of basketball operations Bryan Colangelo told the Toronto Star. "We remain interested in acquiring Matt, but other teams are now in the mix."
