As a youngster I remember going to the County Fair and eating this incredible treat. Ice cream on a stick with tasty outside layer that was dipped into a mini-frier. The result was an incredible symphony of flavors going off like fireworks. GOAFT fair treat for me...

I have not seen one in thirty years... are they still around the festival circuit at all?

I haven't seen those, but my kid is all about the deep fried snickers at the fairs.

I know they make/fry it during the Utica/Velvet Ice Cream Festival that occurs around Memorial Day because my mom and dad were in charge of the tent this year. I haven't had it in several years though, but I remember it being quite tasty.

Yes, I used to work at a Chi Chi's when they were around and man did I eat too much fried ice cream. That stuff was crazy good.

I loved Chi-Chis fried ice cream, this little Mexican place by house does a good one as well.
