As we are only days away from the first official day of the season on November 27th, are there any key games coming up in the season's early weeks?

What games are going to set the tone for the early season contenders!

A lot of years Hiland opened against Garaway which is always big, this year they don't face the Pirates till game 6.

Will either Ridgewood, TCC, or Stasburg chalenge the Hawks this year?

Amanda-Clearcreek visits Marion Pleasant on the 27th.
these teams ranked 2, 1 respectively in the D3 Central district last year, each making it to regional semi-finals.

It would appear that the Yellow Jackets couldn't overcome the severe losses to graduation as Perrysburg lost to Jerry Sigler's Northview Wildcats 62-36. Things may be returning to the year of the Wildcat.

I was a little surprised at the other NLL scores listed for last night. Southview appears to be the real deal and may well give Northview a great game (s) when they meet this year. Although Maumee lost, the game appears to have been competitive and Springfield has been pretty good the last few years. Rossford hung with Anthony Wayne for awhile and things seem to be improving in Bulldog country. BG just needs to get their offensive problems worked out. I still think that they are a better team this season.

Utica over Heath 72-68 yesterday in a matchup of last year's D.III central district finalists. Megan White dropped 42 points in a loss for the Bulldogs.

Perrysburg was in the game at half time (down nine) but could not hang with the more experienced Wildcats. Great shooting by Northview helped them break away and dominate the second half. It will be intersting to see 1. Southview vs. Northview and 2. If Perrysburg can rebound from the Northview loss. I agree with earlier post about Springfield and Rossford. Could be a very interesting NLL race.

Utica vs. Loudonville (12/12). Top two teams in the MBC battle it out for the early lead in the conference. Game is at Utica, 230 pm (JV at 1). If you're in the area, even if you aren't a fan of either team, this will be well worth your saturday afternoon. Loudonville has maybe the best player in the STATE that most people have never heard of (Becky Orchard). Last season, the teams split the two games 1-1, with each winning at home, as Utica won the conference for the 3rd time in 4 years by a game over, you guessed it, Loudonville. If each team is hitting on all cylinders, this game could easily go into the 70's or even 80's. If both defenses show up, it could be in the 40's. BE THERE!!!
