I went to Lambeau Field a couple months a go to check in out while I was in Wisconsin. They have an amazing facility for a very small city.

I would like them to rotate it around. The Vikings, Packers, Lions, Bears, Bengals, Browns, Steelers, and Colts all have stadiums within the Big Ten's footprint.

Ford Field holds ~65,000. Lucas Oil Stadium holds ~66,000. Soldier Field holds ~61,000. Paul Brown Stadium holds ~66,000.

Cleveland Browns Stadium holds ~73,000. I guess that'd be nice.

^^^^No way Pitt.... that field looks like complete shit by October. I'm all for outside and facing the elements, but please give us a decent field. I like the idea of Ford Field, Lucas Oil, Paul Brown, Lambeau, and The Metrodome possibly rotating. It'll probably be in Indy though.

Lambeau would be sweet. They would have no trouble getting people to travel there, screw the dome in Indy. I'd put money on it being at Soldier Field.

I think the big 10 has better stadiums than anyone. I think it should rotate through those. Except for Inidana and Purdue can have it in Indy if they choose. As well as Illinois and Northwestern could have it at soldier field. Everyone else though has a stadium worthy of holding the champ game.

I don't see that happening, they probably want it to be a neutral stadium

It would be neutral most of the time, but they aren't going to have 70-110k fans going to a random campus like that. That would be really weird, and would cause major travel problems as well, many of the campuses are in small towns. It would also not work with sponsorships very well.

It will be at an NFL stadium.

They try to keep it as centrally located as possible. No way they have it on a campus stadium. Indy probably makes the most sense.

Say if Purdue and Minn wound up in the title game, or any other school THAT IS NOT Ohio State, Mich, PSU, WIS.....Are these schools going to pack an NFL Stadium??? Will the same effect of the Big Ten Basketball Tourney (Empty Arena for the Championship game) play into football as well.

I would say yes if a Rose Bowl berth was on the line...plus if you get one of those smaller schools vs. OSU, Michigan, PSU, Nebraska the fans of those schools would fill out the rest.

I think Indy is the prohibitive favorite. But, I would love to see it cycle around as well between Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, Green Bay (and if they build a new NFL stadium) Minneapolis/St. Paul.

I would love some games to be outdoors. Playing indoors at Indy or Detroit just seems to predictable for me.

There are soooo many good options in th area between GB, Detroit, Indy, Chicago, Cleveland, etc.... that they should pick 4 of them and play the game at different stadiums each year on a rotation like they do with the NC game at the various BCS bowl sites.

I used to think that this was going to be a slam dunk to be in Indy or Detroit (most likely in Indy since it's central), but with all of these other cities planning on submitting bids I'm not so sure. I thought that they would definitely want to go indoors so that the weather isn't an issue, but this is the Big Ten and every Big Ten school now plays all of their home games outdoors, so really, it wouldn't be a big deal for the players or the fans to play a game outdoors. Soldier Field seems like a great central location to me, but having lived in Chicago for several years, it get's extremely cold and windy in that place in December since it's right on the lake.

I could see the Big Ten doing a rotation at every venue that applies, signing a contract with each to host the title game once during the first 6 years (or however many sites there are). Then I think they would re-evaluate each site and decide to continue the rotation or stay at one or only a few sites.

The Big Ten championship should be played outside in the elements.

I think that the location is really up to what the sponsors will want for the event and I doubt they want their guests to be freezing in Green Bay. They will be in the million dollar suites in Indy. The people making the decision for the Big 10 know this.

Indy gets my vote regardless just because of the city in general. I have never been to Green Bay though.

I also had to LOL at the Metrodome being suggested. There is a reason Minny and the Twins both left that old outdated piece of crap.
