Pretty cool... I have never seen this either and I also have watched a ton of Seinfeld episodes.

This was the idea of the writers and viciously opposed by the shows director, Andy Ackerman, seeing how it ruined the character that had appeared in the episodes leading up to this. In the end the scene was cut due to time constraints, and it was Jerry Seinfeld who had to make the call to George to inform him that his scene had been cut.

Yeah, never aired. Seinfeld was on the phone yesterday and said something about how Steinbrenner was such a known commodity that he was the only regular supporting TV character never to actually appear on the show. Or something like that.
