First off, not sure why it is on TV. But... USA women are playing Sweden right now on ESPN. To me, it looks like the field is smaller.

Any of you dweebs out there know if this be true? Do women play on a smaller field than men? If so, probably b/c they're inferior.

I don't really care for the woman's game but I don't think they play on a smaller field but could be wrong.

It just looks smaller. And I'm not high or drunk. Turn it to ESPN.

Wish I could but I'm at the office, are they playing topless though? If so I'll cut out early.

Wow, that would increase ratings. Either have them play dressed like beach volleyball in bikinis or go topless. :)

You're not? What is wrong with you then? :D

The dimensions of soccer pitches are not static, so it's very possible that the field they are playing on is smaller than what they used for the world cup.

I will in a second. But did you turn it to ESPN? Does that field not look smaller?

naaw I didn't and I'm sure it did...Technically they set a length of between 100-130 yards and and a width of like 40-65 something like that for both men's and womens. So as long as they stay in those guidelines they are legal. So yeah they are smaller but not purposively probably just the dimension the field they are playing on is.

(if that is wrong I'm sowwy, i'm kind of spaced)

Women's soccer is incredibly poor quality. Like, it's just objectively bad.

I'll have to somewhat disagree that it's "incredibly poor quality".

While it doesn't measure up to the men's game in certain aspects the basic game and skills are of very high quality. It's just that the women's game is played at suuuuuch a slow pace compared to the men's game. But I think that's the case in almost all sports that are played by both males and females.

It's because women are inferior, and shouldn't be allowed to vote or even have jobs.

Womens soccer is brutal to watch. If they all played the way Brandi Chastain wanted to though....

The only thing worse than the worst sport in the world, is watching women play the worst sport in the world.

Isn't the US Women's team like No.1 in the world? ESPN is obviously trying to capitalize on the World Cup coverage.

Having said that...I didn't watch it, and probably wouldn't until the World Cup Championship Game.
