I took my 2 kids to a local pizza buffet for lunch. Nearby sat a group of 6. This was clearly a group that all worked together and likely in an office of some sort....anyways they are pretty annoying and talking loud like they are the only ones there. One lady then says....did you guys hear that that Hershiser guy had a heart attack and died. Closest male says.....Who? The lady says you know the Hershiser guy that is the owner of the Knicks.......none of the others had heard this (wonder why the hell not???) Then the lady says (and I swear she's being serious) we should get the afternoon off for his death.

One of the dumbest combination of sports talk errors ever.

Orel Hershiser...Owner of the New York Knicks died this morning of a heart attack.

Nice reporting......and awesome.

Paco:The waterboy is killing em! He's the best tackler I seen since Joe Montana.
Walter: Joe Montana was a quarterback, you idiot.
Paco: I said "Joe Mantegna".

Ha ha....his name is Orel. I wonder how much shit he took in school for having a name like Orel (Oral).

And his second baseman's name was Steve Sax when he pitched for the Dodgers. I'm sure Vin Scully had a few laughs describing a pickoff attempt from Orel to Sax.

When reading the thread title, I figured you were having a meltdown concerning roughly 45 percent of the people on this forum.

I thought about that, but decided that some percentage of people are ones who know sports to some degree, but either like playing devil's advocate or immediately go to the "fuck you you stupid fuck" card instantly.

That's why chicks shouldn't try to talk sports in public.
