I thought OSU would jump an idle Pitt, that is usually how it goes. But Pitt would eventually jump OSU with more games to be played.

As long as OSU finishes in the top ten, I'll be happy. That means a bowl game win.

yeah I see that. Just went ahead and posted the poll anyways because the AP poll is irrelevant. It has as much bearing as my little cousin's rankings that he did in crayon

I love all of the undefeated teams though. When its over, we once again will have a BCS failure. It's playoff time in some way, shape, or form.

Yup, someone is going to be on the outside looking in. I'm looking forward to seeing the day when some mid-major team crashes the NC game party.

If everybody can stay undefeated (I know Florida plays Bama) it is really going to cause some real chaos. Florida/Bama, Texas, Cincy, Boise, TCU could all potentially be undefeated at the end. Its obvious as to who would make it. -Texas vs. SEC- but the NCAA may really have to reconsider the status quo if there are 3 others without a loss at the end of the season...

You can claim MNC with the AP poll so I wouldn't call it irrelevant. And don't you wouldnt do the same thing as USC and claim MNC because every fan would.

I disagree. If Texas, Florida, TCU, Cincy, & Boise are all still undefeated. The consensus will be Fla & Texas in the title game. I don't think there will be any chaos.

I am pretty sure if you took a breath and read what I wrote you would have seen that I said the same thing. However, the chance that there is 3 other undefeateds at the end will surely cause ESPN and Congress to speak out on the issue.

If TCU remains unbeaten, I think they have serious beef to the National title game. The way they are playing, they could easily hang with and beat Texas, Bama or Florida.

not just TCU, but also Boise and Cincy too. If you have 4 teams finish undefeated here (which very well could happen), you need to push for a playoff. Or claim your own national championship

If Cincy finishes unbeaten then, yeah, I'll throw them in the mix with TCU. As for Boise, they haven't looked great this season and I'm not sure they could hang with the top 5.

But they're undefeated. I know what everyone will say about the WAC, and yes they had some close wins, but they didn't lose to anybody.

Texas played Wyoming on Sept. 12th. A week earlier Alabama was playing VA Tech. How come you aren't outraged about that?

Every team plays cupcakes, the SEC schedule is different than most and it has teams playing OOC late in the season.

its like an extra bye week before Florida plays FSU and Bama plays Auburn. In Florida's case, they've had about 3 or 4 bye weeks with Vandy on the schedule

Just as Alabama was given credit in the polls after it beat Va. Tech, it should be hurt after playing UT Chatanooga. That's why polls are done weekly. The teams that play cupcakes early in the season are penalized by the pollsters at that time, no reason Florida and Alabama shouldn't be now. Either teams will be penalized for playing cupcakes or they won't. It shouldn't be one set of rules for a couple of teams and another set for the rest of the country.

^^^

I'm trying to understand this logic, but either way you cut it its still 2 blowout wins
