The keeper just gave her (his girlfriend) a kiss in the middle of the interview. Nothing special, and she looked kind of upset about it. I think she was trying to remain professional.

Trying to stay professional is I thought what made it awkward. You're from Spain, your boyfriend just won the world cup. Enjoy the moment. If she had "lost" her professionalism, I think it would have been an endearing moment. IMO could have been, actually, quite a moment for her career if she had embraced the spontaneity.
