It's nice to see R-Perez pitching well.

Gimenez move paying dividends...

If this game goes extra innings and he gets another AB, he gets a shot at the golden sombrero!

Kerry Wood was brought out to pitch the 10th.

Enough said? Thought so.

Ha ha! That comment reminds me of a nickname dubbed by a Tribe announcer to a relief pitcher from the late '70's early 80's.....Victor "gasoline can" Cruz.

I think it's about time to give up on the Kerry Wood experiment as a closer. He has been awful for a year and a half. It would be nice to give the younger guys a chance at closer the rest of the year to see if any of them can do it.

Chris Perez blew one by Evan Longoria today.. 98 MPH fastball right down the corner of the plate and Longoria whiffed.

Yet, we continue to throw Kerosine Woods out there.

I agree with you about giving up on him, but he wasn't closing today. It was a tie game, and he wasn't brought out until the 10th. Even Hector Ambriz (who's been awful), was trotted out there before Wood was.

Thanks for letting me know. I didn't see the game today. I just saw he had the loss. I'd just like to see them use some of the guys who will be in the team's future the second half of the season. It would be a chance to get some younger guys experience and see if anyone shows some promise.
