I forget the name of it but there's a decent waterpark across I-71 from Kings Island.

This. It is included with your admission to KI and it is better than the one across the street...very nice waterpark.

That's included as part a Reds ticket plan. Kings Island attendees need to add $30 to a Fun Day admission.

I went to the Beach when I was a kid, probably like 10/11ish. It was fun but I remember getting stuck in one of the tubes and my tailbone rubbed the waterslide going all the way down. Still have a huge scar cause of it.

KI has made huge improvements to their waterpark over the last 2 years, but The Beach is still much better.

What about the place down next to the river by the horse track? Drove by it once, it looked like it would be pretty cool....not sure of the name

Great Wolf Lodge (the indoor park I'm assuming that you're talking about) is pretty awesome. We went 2 years ago and had a blast.
