Everyone at sometime or another have stepped on something that was not the right thing to step on. I have stepped on everything from nail, dog poop and boob trap (did not go off) my most recent step of bad faith (which bring back good memories however after the pain had gone away) was my grandson match box car. Dam those thing are small and depending on the make and model shape bastards.
I had forgotten the unexpected pain, surprise and quick step that comes with a early morning bare foot encounter of man vs match box toy car can bring.

What have you stepped on? Any good stories?

When I was young my dad was ripping old siding off our house. It was all over the place in the side yard and like a little idiot I jumped off the porch (about 2-3 feet off the ground) and landed right on a piece of siding. I didn't know it until my next step and a piece of siding came with me. I looked down and a nail was sticking out the top of my foot and I was now wearing a siding sandle.

A couple of years ago I was in the basement barefoot which I knew better than to do, but did it anyway. I felt something sharp on the bottom of my foot but kept on doing what I was doing.

When I came upstairs and looked I found a piece of glass about the size if a dime embedded in the sole of my foot. I had to dig it out with a pair of tweezers.

I always wear something on my feet when headed down the stairs now.

...when I was a kid (like 5 or 6) my family was up at Lake Erie and I was running in the sand and stepped on a piece of drift wood. With the waves crashing really hard that day, they couldn't hear me scream so I had to hobble over to them with this drift wood stuck in the center of my foot.............damm it hurt!

When I was a kid we were at a park and someone dumped some hot charcoal in the gravel parking lot and I stepped in it. I had blisters covering the bottom of my foot.

I jumped out of a hayloft and had to take a pair of pliers to pull a nail out so I could take my shoe off.
