Give some feedback if you don't mind about how some things are working (or not) thus far. There are many opinions and I've only heard from a few...some good, some bad.

Answer whichever questions you feel like.

*Do you prefer exact vegas odds, something pretty close or just whatever as long as research is done and of course within reason.

* Do you like the prop bets.......and do you like having one crazy odds prop bet to put a few vbucks on?

* Would you rather have just who wins and over/under?

*What other topics this time of year would you like to see?

* What % of the topics have you bet on so far?

* Do you prefer everything to be not the same everynight..or do you want to know what will be on the forum when you get to it?

Thanks for the feedback!

I really enjoy prop bets (especially since this is for fun). Plus, those give you guys some creativity in your bets.

For the lines, I think close to Vegas is the best way to go. I dont think it has to be exact but close. Just picking a winner, you do odds. But typically if you put lines (ie, Reds -1.5) the payout is closer or exactly even. Same for Indians +1.5 you get an even payout. The odds come into play typically when you just pick the winner. In Vegas, picking straight up will usually look more like:

Federer -500
(some unranked player) +650

This case is you risk 100 dollars to win 650 for the unranked player, and rise 500 to win 100 for Federer.

For a closer match:
Federer -110
Nadal even

That would mean a 100 dollar bet nets you 100 for Nadal and 110 dollars for 100 on Federer.

Money lines are expressed in 100 dollar units, but it doenst need to be done with that much or that little amounts.

Finally, I think ever bet should have an over/under bet taken from Vegas. It is probably the second most popular thing to bet on, and is a lot of fun when you have no dog in the race.

Thanks for the feedback.

haha, money lines might be tough to work out anyway, I dont know the system that is being used etc.

I got really into college basketball betting for about 3 years. The 3rd year I made like 7,000$ but I had to give up when I graduated college. In college I had the time to constantly watch, read, and in general follow all the college bball leagues. Now, I dont so I am not gonna give my money to Vegas!

Thats the only reason I know how stuff works. I dont bet for real anymore though, and never on anything but college bball (other than a few random bets).

The prop bets are what make it fun. Also, try having more non-sports related bets, like the Lindsay Lohan one.

Agreed. Bad thing is these ones are harder to think of to begin with, and we basically have to dream up all of the odds. (sometimes you can find sites with odds for fucked up things)

I don't mind the way it is set up and the prop or exotic bets make it fun. The lines don't have to be exact like Vegas but should be close. Example: Indians to win World Series- even money. wouldn't be fair. It is just for fun anyway, nobody loses anything but their dignity and I lost that a looooong time ago so what the hey. Have fun with it!!

I agree that lines should match Vegas as close as possible. They don't need to change like Vegas, just be as close to Vegas as possible when the bet is created.

I love it. This time of the year will be the hardest to find good things to bet on because theres less sports on tv. My girlfriend was looking at what i was doing and said you should have a weekly who gets voted off the bachlorette thread. I would suggest having a thread where we can suggest topics instead of pming you. I like the prop and sport bets and agree close to vegas is good. Some ideas I have for bet are a celeb death pool (who will be the next celeb to die), Who wins the football national championship/world series, and How much money will Predators make the opening weekend (basically the top new movie each week give ranges and and odds). I will try and think of some more if u want.

One other thing, I know some bets have had the option of choosing over _____ runs. But it would be good to have the under option as well. If you have spaces, the same could be said about some props.

Like, Johan Santana strikeouts:
Over 6.5
Under 6.5
