Harvard won the game 14-10. However, the Crimson got the win partly due to the worst coaching decision that I may have ever seen.

With a 10-7 lead and about 2:30 to play, Yale had 4th and 22 from around it's own 30 yard line. They proceeded to fake the punt!!!

Obviously they didn't pick up the 22 yards needed for a first down, gave the ball back to Harvard, and the Crimson scored the go-ahead TD to win the game.

As a coach, how do you fake a punt in that situation when it's 4TH AND 22?!?!? Sure, Harvard could have drove down and scored after the punt, by why would you just give them great field position. It's not like it was 4th and short...it was 22 yards!

Ironic that perhaps the dumbest call in football coaching history came in the Harvard-Yale game.
