Sadly, this is probably only the third-worst contract the Mets have to endure this season (See also: Oliver Perez and Luis Castillo).
PS, you know when you are walking down the street and you smell an aroma and it immediately reminds you of something, whether it be your mom's chicken soup or am autumn day from your childhood? Reading Bobby Bonilla's name was like smelling a turd and remembering the awful decade that Mets' fans had to endure, with this douche serving as the posterboy for the nosedive.

This is the kind of thing I would do if I was a great player in a mid-market (not really possible in a small market). Id have them give me a lifetime contract of like 5 million a year and that way I dont handicap my teams chances of winning by taking up so much money.
