Since it appears everyone and their mother has already bet on it anyway:

1. Only 3 matches (out of 61) in all of this World Cup have had more than 7.5 Yellows
2. Spain has the second least amount of yellow cards of any team in the tournament (4). North Korea had 3.

To clarify, if the game goes to penalties, and Villa scores, that counts as a goal, correct? I was operating under the assumption this would be a draw, settled by shootout, and he'd score.

I'm no soccer expert at all but I don't think shootout PK's count as goals. Take the Uruguay/Ghana semifinal match for example. The final score is listed as 1-1 with Uruguay winning 4-2 on PK's. If someone with more knowledge can verify/correct this it would be appreciated.

I think Karen is correct and Spain will probably take this out of questions anyways.

Problem solved, Villa subbed out.

But to answer the question, penalty shootout goals do not count as goals in the match statistics.

Everyone's still going to make bank on the under yellow cards. Has there even been a yellow card yet?

Yep. Plenty of matches have a ton of yellows. But the type of game Spain plays doesnt warrant to it. They rarely get cards themselves, and their style is possession, and not really counter where a lot of fouls mean yellows. The same fouls in a possession game will usually just be fouls.
