My bad Justin, didn't know it was so old.

I "StumbledUpon" it, thought it was pretty cool.

It's actually probably been out several years. Pretty cool device though.

And if it malfunctions, then it's just like every other saw that would cut off your fingers.

I saw this awhile ago too. Its still cool though. In fact I wish I would have had one. It was about three years ago now I nearly took the tip of my thumb off on my left hand. It was still hanging on cut just below the thumbnail. I had no feeling and I did not want to loose it so I packed it in ice.

The docs in the emergency room did a great job. Once it healed I still had trouble picking up small objects like screws because I had little feeling. I went and saw a specialist and he said there was not much he could do with the small nerve endings at the tip of my thumb. He said that over time the nerve endings would grow out towards the tip and I would regain most feeling. He was correct and I would say I have about 70% of the feeling I had before. Needless to say I am extra careful when I use the table saw.

A friend of mine cut his off clean off using a table saw. After a few surgeries and rehab, and he regained full use of it.. crazy
