2 Tampa officers were shot by a suspect who has a minor warrant for bad checks. 1 would have become a dad this week, but the news sent his wife into labor. The other has 4 children, age 9,8,5, & 8 months.

They caught the girl, who was driving, the guy ran then she drove away after he killed the officers. He got out of prison for the second time 3 months ago. I don't know what kind of charges she will face, but he needs to be shot on sight. I can't recall a more senseless tragic crime.

The man shot these police officers over a minor warrant. He was realesed from prison a few months ago for drug charges and had a lengthy rap sheet including attempted murder.

Why does the judicial system let someone like this out of prison in the first place after several convictions including the attempted murder charge?

I live about 45 minutes from Tampa and just watched the local news and they are saying that the officer's wife was hospitalized for contractions and did not have the child.
I was in Tampa at 5:30 this morning dropping my Mom off at the airport and I could see from I-4 all the cop cars not knowing what was going on until I heard it on the radio. As of this afternoon they already have wanted signs on billboards along the highways with this son of a bitches mugshot on them.
$95,000 REWARD for this fuck

You know what they could keep the 95000 I'd gladly do it for free, heck I'd make a large donation to the cop's family to be the one that puts that scumbag down!!

Yeah in about 20yrs while getting three squares meals and a bed to sleep in. TV, library, exercise, weight lifting, attorney fees, and all on the taxpayers of Florida's dime.
We can only hope when they find this bastard he attempts to pull his weapon, and he can take nothing more from us than a few pennies. Bullets are cheap.

I personally don't think he will allow himself to be taken alive just like Hank Earl Carr back in 1998.

True. But death penalty sentences are far more expensive than life sentences.majorspark;405910 wrote:Yeah in about 20yrs while getting three squares meals and a bed to sleep in. TV, library, exercise, weight lifting, attorney fees, and all on the taxpayers of Florida's dime.

I suspect the suspect will flash a weapon upon apprehension whether he has one or not. Death by cop seems highly appropriate in this circumstance. What a piece of shit to leave 5 kids fatherless over a stupid misdemeanor warrant. This is a case where I hope the justice system looks the other way while someone just takes him out!

Get this...after questioning the girl, she has been RELEASED.
The woman police said he was with, 22-year-old Cortnee Nicole Brantley, was taken in for questioning and released Tuesday night, after a tip led officers to the Bristol Bay Apartment Complex at Bristol Bay Way in Tampa.
Brantley has not been charged.
Tampa Police Chief Jane Castor said there are possibilities she will be charged "down the road."
"I wouldn't describe her as cooperative but we were able to get some information out of her," Castor said.
The chief also confirmed Brantley was the driver and Morris was a passenger.
Warrants have been issued for Morris, charging him with two counts of murder of a law enforcement officer and one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Officers have found the car, a red Camry, that Morris and Brantley were in.
I believe it is because if/when they arrest her, the clock starts on 'due process', and they are hoping she will lead them to him. Its like an episode of '24' over there hunting this guy. The FBI will be tailing her every move, call, and text.

I think they did the right thing by not charging her at this point. They know she is stupid enough to lead them right to him. She will be under strict surveillance no doubt about that. When they finally kill (I mean arrest him) she will be cuffed and stuffed too!

I have seen this where she could not be charged with nothing. You don't know if she knew he was going to do this or even had a gun. Yes he need to be killed on the spot and I hope they find this piece of shit. I couldn't even imagine what the families are going for. But again back to her, she might be innocent and is just scared shit less. Time will tell but I say he dies by a firing party

But wasn't she at the very least aiding a felon?
