You really are clueless about what the word accomplishment means. Just because it passes, doesn't automatically make it something to be termed an accomplishment. WHEN many of these initiatives fail miserably and/or are rejected by the American people, he will have notoriety instead of historical respect.

At what point do we start referring to it as a "regime" instead of "administration"?

Obama will probably earn himself a one term presidency mainly because he has turned into Bush Light. He promised to shut down Gitmo. Negative. He promised to stop torture. Nope. He promised to wrap up Iraq by this summer. Nope. He has now verbally stated that the draw down in Afghanistan for next summer is off the boards. His message of no nation building has been shit canned. In typical fashion, he criticizes N Korea for shooting down a military aircradt..but not a peep out of him when Israel pulls the same crap on a humanitarian mission.
He's a fraud...a ruse...and a huckster. The independent voters call all of these elections. The independents will vote him out. Sarah Palin would probably kick his ass 2 years down the road...and that ain't sayin much.

While I disagreed with your post...i could atleast respect it until that statement...Even the most hardcore Conservative knows that Palin has ZERO chance of ever being President. And if what I'm hearing is true...it won't matter who the Repubs run...it will be worse than last time

So I take it tat you're OK with Obama sending Gitmo detainees to other countries for torture> You're OK that Gitmo remains open...after he promised to shut it down?? You're OK with the huge escalation of US deaths in Afghanistan...with no exit strategy in place? Are OK with Obama having 100,000 troops fighting a grand total of 50 Al Quada fighters as confirmed just yesterday by CIA chief Leon Panetta?
I give him credit for pacifying many tepid relations from our former allies. And I give him credit for taking on Wall Street which would never have happened under the GOP.
But it's the economy that will ultimately do him in...even though he had nothing to do with it...other than pissing away 1trillion dollars per annum on unwinnablee wars half way around the globe.

ummm...what?
I agree...if that right thing had been done under the last administration....Afghanistan wouldn't be as big a problem as it is now
But do you have ANY proof that he is sending Gitmo detainees away to be tortured?

When I think of "regime" I think of a large focus on military and expansion. So I'd say we could have started referring to our leadership as a regime back when Bush was in office. Although it would still be called a regime today seeing as Obama really hasn't done much to get us out of those wars.
Also both Bush and Obama a douchebags for letting Gitmo remain open as long as it has.
I don't see anyone who's a really strong candidate on either side which is why I think Obama will get a second term.
If we elect Sarah Palin as president we deserve to be destroyed. It's not that she disagrees with me on policy so much as she cares not about facts or representing logical arguments. She's more worried about yelling "Drill Drill Drill" and "Reagan Reagan Reagan" and saying "Gee golly gorsh" than having real discourse about policies and what we could do better. Palin = Alaskan Female Glenn Beck
When there is a conservative candidate that doesn't resort to appealing to old people's sense of Cold War politics and McCarthyist buzz words like Socialist and Communist (when used incorrectly) that's when I might vote for one again.

Ummm...I looked through 3 pages and didn't find anything
WASHINGTON — U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder arrived in Kabul Wednesday to discuss rooting out corruption and other law enforcement matters with senior Afghanistan and U.S. officials, the Justice Department said.
"Fighting corruption and supporting the rule of law in Afghanistan are top priorities for this administration, and we will continue to assist the Afghan government in creating and sustaining the effective criminal justice system to which the Afghan people are entitled," Holder said in a statement.
it may just be me, but what good is dispatching the Attorney General to Afghanistan to deal with their government corruption when we have not begun to deal with it on our own home front. Holder is rivaling Alberto Gonzalez right now in terms of competence, and it is laughable that he is going to make any progress with Karzai.
It is pretty clear though that with the regime that lawyers can solve everything.
Just last week the First Lady was dispatched to the Justice Department to thank them for all the work they've done on the Gulf oil spill. Not down to the Gulf to thank clean up workers, but to Justice to thank the attorneys suing any and everyone in sight. Now it is Holder trotting off to Afghanistan where he is about as useful as a hemorrhoid.
It really does make you wonder sometimes who thinks this stuff up as though they are good ideas compared to things that might actually accomplish something tangible.

Obama is apparently poised to make a big Immigration Reform speech on Thursday.
The plan now is to try and fire up the Latino base because the economy is not going to be there to run on.
The regime is getting desperate right now to hang on to power, and will do any and everything to hang on to the House and Senate this fall even if it is a 1 seat majority in each.

You mean positive things like taking leadership and rallying global resources to stop the Gulf oil spill as opposed to expending energy in finding ways to quadruple our nation's debt, lobbying Congress to enact bills that the nation doesn't want, and reneging on campaign promises? That kind of tangible?

It's amazing the un-deserved hatred here for President Obama
As I've said...you may not like it..but he will go down as the most accomplished President in history
Looks like that Health Care Bill isn't as hated as you thought:
Typical liberal ploy --- turn the valid point-by-point arguments into a "hatred for the president". We don't 'hate the president'; but we do have GREAT DISDAIN for nearly everything he has done because it is completely ruinous. We will be lucky if we survive to the end of first and only term.

All of those have been passed/will be passed by the end of the year...You don't have to like it...but even your hatred of him shouldn't be able to get in the way of seeing that no other President has/will have accomplised this much in history
I see what you did there...slap "reform" on anything and it becomes a positive (and "comprehensive reform" if you want it to sound really awesome).
1. health care "reform" is an absolute joke and that will become painfully apparent in the next few years.
2. financial "reform" isn't as bad in my opinion, but that isn't saying much. He still hasn't fixed this economy.
3. immigration "reform"....give me a fucking break you tool. buying twenty million hispanic votes isn't reform.
4. don't ask don't tell...who gives a shit? this is so fucking minor it's irrelevant. maybe if we had a shortage of military personal, or flamboyant grenade tossers.
5. energy reform....ummm what? banning offshore drilling?

Put me in the category of those who didn't hate the President in '08, but fervidly despise him now.

The large majority of Americans want to keep Gitmo open http://www.gallup.com/poll/124727/americans-oppose-closing-gitmo-moving-prisoners.aspx\
Obama did order an end to torture, but most Americans wish he wouldn’t have. http://www.ourchangingglobe.com/why-did-obama-stop-enhanced-interrogation/
Obama is withdrawing from Iraq at a rationally and the rate is not a significant source of unpopularity
as our casualties are much reduced there.
With North Korea ship sinking (this time they sunk a south Korean naval ship, in the past they purposely blew up a civilian airliner) we basically did nothing, just the same as with the Gaza ship incident.
He has announced a date to begin withdrawal from Afghanistan, a major strategic mistake.
None of these actions will appreciably hurt Obama with independent voters. Talking tough to one of the most evil regimes on the planet and keeping terrorists at Gitmo don’t hurt you with the great majority of independent voters.

I'd also argue he hasn't repaired relations with our most trusted (historic) allies. In fact, I'd say he has alienated most of them by his blunders or indifference to them.
I don't hate Obama -- but I do hate, loathe and despise just about everything (major) he wants to do domestically. I'm apparently not alone, either, since the poll linked above (and many others) keep showing how an overwhelming majority feel the country is headed in the WRONG direction.
Can't get much more clear than that.
