1) I think NCF is being genuine.
2) I think it's very commendable (and hilarious) of him to laugh at himself and joke about something he said earlier.

There comes a point in the season where it's time to accept just how bad your favorite team is. One of the highest payrolls in baseball...yet the team they field is truly a group of "clowns!" As a die-hard fan...I'm so unbelievable frustrated and probably the most disappointed I've ever been. The Cubs have had a lot of disappointment in my 28 years of fanhood....but when you spend this much to get this much "supposed talent,"....you ought to be able to compete and AT LEAST beat the Pittsburgh Pirates!!!
