He's one of the coaches that many people call overrated, and many people call underrated, but I'm glad to see young coaches like him in college football.

I'm happy for him because of Jasper Howard's untimely death.

Edsall is a better coach than most people realize. Great evaluator of talent, but more importantly he is phenomenal at developing the talent he has on hand.

He's an average coach at an average program. UConn is 5-5 and 1-4 in conference play. Beating ND right now is nothing special. Oh, and 1 of those 5 wins is against a 1-10 1AA team.
Fun fact: UConn has played a 1AA team EVERY season he's been head coach. Not to mention Duke, Temple, Army, etc. Way to schedule up coach. :rolleyes:
Not sure why he's being called a class act or a young coach (he's 51), but he isn't a prodigy or anything.
