on this one you can just pick who you think will win.

So uh, why the hell is Shane Carwin the favorite, and why did it put my bet on him instead of Lesnar?

it should be on which ever one you picked
I set the odds....Carwin is the favorite in my clueless UFC world.....

I'm really not trying to be a dick, it is after all just fake money on an internet forum, but can't we just use the lines from a reputable online sportsbook for the bets on here (bodog, bookmaker, betus)? I feel like this is a really cool idea that is getting screwed up.

what is the problem...if I set the odds up off a little then the knowledgeable ones of the topic could have a better chance of adding to their account...if it's pretty much professionally set then everyone on here is in the same boat whether you know anything about the topic or not...I think this way as long as I make sure you can't win by just betting on multiple items then it should be ok.
As for this UFC matchup....I really am clueless other than a few articles I read before posting this. If everyone knew the winner it wouldn't be much of a pay per view event.

should've had some action going for the fedor verdum fight. that would've made someone (not me) very fake rich.

That is one of the dumbest things I've ever read.

so what was the problem...looks to me like many persons on here agree it could've very well been called in the first round to Carwin.....Lesnar even said he was thankful to the ref for allowing it to continue. Carwin had 78 power strikes and Lesnar had 2....I was damn near being dead on with my odds......What were the Vegas odds on this.
And again....do people just typically bet on stuff they know nothing about?
Fake money folks...not too mention I set this back when the vbookie began and have since fixed oddsmore closely.

I think the point is, it would be much easier to simply take the odds from a website. For instance, personally, I would have bet on on Carwin in this fight, except he's an awful value as a favorite. So I went with Lesnar because getting a guy as an underdog that was across the board listed at -150 to -170 is a steal.
It would take 30 seconds to check bookmaker and just throw the line from there up. Way more simple, way more fair.

For those who care: Had it gone roughly off of Vegas odds, Lesnar would have been 3/5, Carwin would have been 3/2 or 8/5.
