A guy robs you at gunpoint with a shotgun and you aren't going to bother posting more of the story?

Zwick - I feel for ya. :)

Walked into an armed robbery in progress at a Toledo convenience store back in 1990's - about the time the two kids turned around and saw me walking in, one of Toledo's finest pulled into the parking lot. Both of them took off running out the door - but the cops had both in custody within two minutes.

I had to give a deposition before the trial - they both copped pleas and so I didn't have to attend the trail.

I havent been robbed but one of my good buddies worked at Gamestop near Eastland Mall in columbus and he got robbed at gunpoint twice there. He is about 6'7 and the guy made him and the girl working with him lay down. He then ordered him up to open the cash draw and being as tall as he is he reached up and used the counter to help himself up and the robber was convinced he had pressed some kinda alarm and almost shot him until the girl got up and opened the drawer and told the robber there was no alarm and to take the money and leave. The second time he said he made sure not to touch anything and just give the guy the money as fast as he could. He also quit that day.

My dad also owed a car dealership close to eastland mall and had been involved in used car sales for about 30 years. He never got robbed but he said he had a guy walk in in the middle of summer in a full length winter coat acting like he was casing the place and my dad was pretty sure he could see a shotgun under his coat. My dad then told the man he would be right back and went into the backroom where the safe was and got his gun and tucked it where the man could see it in his waistband. He said the guy left so quick after that. Our car dealership also got robbed several times during the night by some of the dumbest criminals ever. I think the all time worst though was a guy who got his car repoed by the dealership across the street and told them if they didnt give them his car back he would go across the street and take a car on a test drive copy the key and come back and steal it. The next day sure enough one of the cars was missing off our lot. The dealership calls and asks if anything was stolen and my dad said yeah and the guy says ok i got a copy of his id and address from when he bought a car from them. Well my dad called the cops and they went to his house and there was the truck. The only bad part was the cops didnt arrest him because he told them he was borrowing the truck from his brother and didnt know it was stolen but he had installed a new radio and tires onto the truck.

we were never robbed @ famous footwear but I did deal with some shady shoplifters (not tryign to be racist but mostly middle aged fat black women) who I had to follow around and watch like a hawk. For some reason they liked stealing baby shoes and hiding them in their bras/blouses/etc. underneath their boobs

also had two guys come in and case the store one time, but there wasn't a whole lot I could do. something about company policy about not chasing down and getting physical w/ shoplifters to retain your merchandise

Some dude tried, well I guess did, rob me in Cleveland after a concert. Too bad for him I didn't have anything on me (left my wallet locked in the car and took only my ticket) so he left with the stick of gum I offered him.

In the early 80's I was delivering pizza and a house I went to, turned out the folks were out of town. A girl was on the porch when I got there and then a guy with a gun walked out from behind some bushes. It was dark but I recognized her from school but didn't let on. The guy turned out to be one who worked at the restaurant for a short time, I thought I recognized his voice but I couldn't be sure so he skated. She did a year in jail because she had just turned 18 and had a juvy record from Chicago that was really bad. He never came around again to the rest. or the TaeKwanDo place next door. She later snitched him out trying to get a shorter sentence.

I was working at a Wendy's on Colonel Glen HWY in Dayton back in the 90's. Guy hid out in the restroom until after we locked up. He came out with a Jason mask on and while I was washing dishes jammed a gun up against the side of my head. He took all of us back into the office made us lay down and had the manager open the safe. Took the money and ran.

I also had a gun pulled on me when I was bouncing at a college bar in Toledo in the 90's too.

For having a shotgun barrel pointed in your eye by a portly store robber, you seem to be taking this pretty casually. Good for you. Some people just don't appreciate life's spontaneity.

You are right I did take this pretty casually. It happened and its done and over with. Hopefully it never happens again.

They arrested the guy who robbed me 2 nights ago. I was pretty happy to hear that. Glad they caught him before somebody got hurt

I've never been robbed but I had a fairly exciting experience in St. Louis one evening with a good friend of mine. We were sitting in a bar in Laclede's Landing, a remodeled area of sports bars, clubs etc right on the river, and we were having an ice cold Anchor Steam, when all of a sudden a guy came racing into the bar. Not ten seconds passed when two of St. Louis's finest came racing in pursuit, guns drawn. There really wasn't anywhere for us to go so we just sat there and continued drinking our beer and talking. About two minutes later the guy who had run in at full bore, came racing past us and out the door into the night. A few seconds later, here come those two police officers still chasing with guns drawn. To this day I have no idea what happened or why they ran right through our bar, but I do know one thing. That Anchor Steam was so good, we had several more. I mean, really, what are the odds those guys will run through again?
