I have attended in the past, but I think I will pass this year. The Columbus Police Department will have a presence at the event and I suspect the 'Look the Other Way" policy of past years might be ignored.

I went once to try it out, I wont be making a return trip anytime soon. Theres just too many damn people down there. Same thing goes for Red White and Boom, way too many people to deal with.

Wouldn't miss it - hell, we're 50 and enjoy it.
Difference today is that we bail about 8 - the accumulated intoxicants seem to reach critical mass in most of the attendees about that time. We have dinner reservations in the Short North at 8:30, then will take a cab home.

Just got back. There were a lot more cops than I remember being there in the past.

Didn't go this year due to the fact that I couldn't bring my own liquor in this time.

Went to the Clippers game last night and got to see some of the comfest people in the parking lot. It was just a small sampling but the freak-o-meter hit 10 a few times.

I meandered down there Friday with a few buddies of mine. The music was pretty sweet towards the end of the night, but I think half of Ohio's Democratic party was there and they should have just dropped a bomb on the place.
Also, not all tits are created equal haha

One of our friends was in from Dayton and she wanted to check it out. Its not my scene at all. I dont even think we were there for 10 minutes before we turned and went down to Zenos. There is nothing as nasty as fat hippies with their shirts off.

haha so true. It's a good thing I was hammered and smashing on the gyros that greek church was selling, so it worked out. Walking from and back to campus also probably worked all of those calories off. We estimated 6-7 miles were traveled via foot.

We went to a house warming party in Victorian Village Friday night, about 8:30. New owners didn't realize Comfest was this weekend until it was too late to rescind invitations. Then we went to the Clippers game on Saturday and that was a major zoo just trying to get in to the area to get parking and to get back out of the area.
I saw a blub on the news this morning that Comfest organizers do not promote the date ahead of time so that it doesn't get crazier than it already is, that they don't want local media covering it or promoting it. Obviously it's possible to find out the date ahead of time or vendors wouldn't be there but supposedly they don't promote it.

Hey - don't blame me - I -always- keep MY shirt on! Lady D'Friskies looks pretty good without hers, but I haven't been able to talk her into the body painting thing yet.
Muffy - ComFest is always the fourth weekend in June - It's not really a big secret - it's just that the committee that runs the event doesn't buy into the idea of promotion. Too commercial, you know...
