"Police received a call from the nearby gas station, where an employee inside said Hutchison bought a 24-ounce beer, drank it, then left on his bike and rode off down Route 3, Seavert reported.

"When we stopped him and put him through field sobriety tests, before we did that I asked him if he had been drinking and he said, 'Yeah, I had a beer down at UDF," Ciballi said."

I'm not trying to pump my chest and talk about how Columbus is the shit, but I'll bet this happens in Columbus fairly frequently.

Chalk me up with the people that think that if you're operating a bicycle on a sidewalk it shouldn't be an OVI but a Public Intoxication ticket. OVIs can absolutely wreck someone's life, and while this guy was asking for it and I don't have too much of a problem with it, this law could really fuck others. I mean a skateboard too? Give me a break, are my shoes vehicles too?

Well if they're the shoes with the little wheels built into the heel...

Yawn. When your town is nationally famous for the dude that got an OVI for driving drunk on a motorized bar stool, this seems pretty tame. Seriously dude, if you're gonna get an OVI, go hard or go home.

I felt bad for the guy until it said he was a Tier 1 sex offender.
