Hochevar vs Arroyo

Reds look to move to 10 games over .500

The Storms are supposed to be out of the area before gametime, hopefully they get quite a few walkups. Tomorrow is already sold out.

It's good to see that they have already agreed to terms with Ryan LaMarre, the second-round pick. You can barely tell this is the same franchise as the one from three years ago.

It would be very nice to catch a sweep here with the ice-cold Cardinals (lost four straight) facing the Angels this weekend. Even two of three should provide another game up on them.

I'm thinking about it. Theres a place called O'Malley's that I've been to before, pretty cool hole in the wall.

Hochevar is pretty good, I hope the Reds can light him up thought. Arroyo should be on this eve I have a feeling.

May be heading up to Cincinnati on Sunday for the game. Anyone else going? Will be interesting who starts. I'm hoping it's Bailey to be quite honest.

wow corky again?

Dusty must have given up on Ramon trying to work with Bronson, and rightfully so.

Hochevar was a former first rounder and he has good stuff (10 Ks in his last outing) but he is very inconsistent. I guess we'll have to see which pitcher shows up tonight

How long has it been since the Reds have had 3 everyday players batting +.300, and another @ .298?? Amazing after what this offense looked like the first few weeks of the season!

This is one of those series that can cool off a hot streak really fast. This team makes a living off of beating good teams on a fairly consistent basis.

When is the last time is was mid-June and the Reds led the league in home runs, RBI's, runs scored, batting average, slugging percentage and ranked in the top 3 in doubles, on-base percentage and stolen bases?

They have certainly been near or at the top in homers and runs before, but never with average, steals and overall runs produced/scored. This is truly a complete offense 1 through 9 and they have an entire bench who has produced when called on. Outside of Chris Dickerson (while he was healthy) and Laynce Nix (for the most part), everyone has pulled their weight. That's rare to say about any team sport almost halfway through the season.

What are you referring to? The Reds are under .500 against winning teams, and I assume the Royals are too. Both teams have been playing .500 ball lately, so neither is hot.

I was talking about KC and my reference point is primarily the Tigers who the Royals beat way too many times considering the two teams side by side. The Red's have had trouble with good teams for quite a while, although I think we may be coming out of that era. Sorry about the confusion.

Stubbs has all kinds of trouble on that bloop from Guillen, but still threw a bullet to third for the out. Bad, bad baserunning.

Wrong call by the ump...ties always have gone to the fielders. Hell, sometimes the fielders don't even have to hit the bag for the out to be called.

^^^^what.....tie goes to the runner

It was a good call and a look at me play by Phillips that cost the Reds the run....no other way about it

Terrible game tonight. Does gomes make outs by doing anything but hitting pop ups in foul territory?
