if anyone has seen the original...early 1960's when surfing was just starting to peak.
Almost came across like a very funny surfing travelogue.
As a frustrated surfer living in the middle of cornfields, I have watched this movie hundreds of times.
It is absolutley quaint as it is a view of the world nearly 50 years ago in which cinematography was not only basic,
but gas prices and coffee prices were hilariously low, and transcontinental air travel was absolutely a novelty.
(they tried to recapture the magic with another trans-world surfing flick in the 90's, but it was not the same.
the perfect spontaneity of it was lost.)
