Whats to dislike about Nebraska? Ever met anyone from Nebraska? They're actually really cool people and are classy as hell.

Also.....their coach is from Youngstown and was a captain of tOSU......again, whats to dislike? Sure, they'll be a rival to OSU soon enough, but they're nowhere close to Michigan, hell they're nowhere near Mich St in terms of hate-ibility.

I like it. Hopefully they can make a return to what they once were.

Just because they are good people does not mean I'm not allowed to dislike them. I have a very dumb and silly reason why not to cheer for Nebraska. Maybe as time passes I'll change.

Logistically it's always made sense for Nebraska to be in the Big 10. Now, if Notre Dame and Missouri join....(even though ND wont)....it would really be a logistically sound conference.

Nothing has been finalized...in other words...still just a rumor.

What I don't understand is why all the realignmnent? Certainly I can see why the Big ten would like to add another member. Why that makes eveyone else want to play musical chairs is beyond me.

Good. I like Nebraska and will root for them to do well (except against OSU). MY cousins live there and I used to get Husker stuff for Christmas when I was little, plus you gotta root for Bo.

I love Bo Pelini and love this addition. I think Nebraska makes the Big 10 better.

The next couple months are going to be monumental for the landscape of college sports. I think it's highly possible that the Big XII is no more.

My buddy in Dallas says that the next chip to fall is the 'big 6' (Texas, aTm, TT, Okie, Okie St., Colorado) going to the pac-10.

"My show's about bringing the troops home. That's the message. It's not obvious, but it's there. Bring the troops home tomorrow, and continue the war here. Because we owe it to our troops to let them sleep in their own beds with their families, wake up in the morning, have delicious breakfast, and drive to war. They can do it in Nebraska; we don't need that horrible state. That can be our field. Some of you are like, "Oh, that's not nice! Then, we wouldn't have any corn!" My SUV doesn't run on corn. Ethanol's a dream, and a dumb one."

This will suck for Kansas. They're a major CBB power, but they'll end up in a revamped MWC with Boise State, TCU, Utah, etc. That's a killer for the program. I guess they could try to go independent just for basketball, but this will be really rough.

Maybe we could see a new basketball conference that has Kansas, Memphis, maybe snags Marquette from a failing Big East, Cincy, Notre Dame, Creighton?, other MVC schools?

Also, do you really see aTm going west to the Pac-10 and not east to the SEC? I can't imagine the Berkeley/aTm match-up. Too many cultural issues for that to be a good fit.

There's a thread on the CFB forum about Kansas in talks with the SEC West. I don't necessarily believe every word, but that would be a really interesting move.

Whatever happens, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State are sticking together. Too many rivalries going on between those 5 teams.

So I don't see A&M going to the SEC. They're fight song calls for then to saw off Bevo's horns. That rivalry ain't breaking up.

Actually I imagine it has been, it just hasn't been confirmed and announced.

If all the leagues get bigger and there ends up only being a few major leagues I wouldn't be surprised if they don't hear from the anti-trust people.
