LeCure vs Cain
Cain can be pretty nasty if the ball is moving...if the fastball stays straight they'll hit him.
Gotta get a 3 run lead by the 7th so they can have a shot of winning.

The Reds need to bounce back tonight. The Dodgers did them a favor yesterday and now the Reds have to respond.

Definitely not enough with the likes of Harrera, Lincoln and Masset in the pen.wildcats20;383129 wrote:Is 3 really enough? Lol

John Fay called David Weathers who said he is willing to come back and pitch for the Reds if they ask.

Also...Deadspin is reporting that Rose corked his bats during the 85 season. Pictures to supposedly prove it.

Uribe killing the Reds this series with RBI. Tonight a deep HR off a low breaking ball that looked to be a pretty good pitch that he got the head of the bat down to and popped deep.

WHY IN THE WORLD IS BP STEALING?!?!?
That's twice(at least) in 2 nights, the ball has been there before the runner even started to slide....

Do you think Stubbs would have made an easier catch, or not made the catch? What interested me on that play was it looked like whne he made the slide at the catch he mis-judged it a bit on where it was coming down and at the last minute had to reach toward home and was still able to catch it.

Stubbs would have made that catch with ease IMO.

It still amazes Juan Uribe's fat ass can play SS in MLB. Guy is getting a little big for it at 6 foot 230lbs.

I feel like we're watching a little league team again.

I see this as the start of our slide out of 1st place and back into mediocrity. Not because we aren't a good enough team to be in first, but I just don't see them doing anything about the bullpen until its too late. Walt Jocketty seems smarter than that, but they need help QUICK. Not one pitcher out of the bullpen would I even have faith in to THROW A STRIKE let alone get a guy out unless his name is Arthur Rhodes.
They'll make a trade in late July but by then they'll be about 6-7 games out of first place, at least.

Make a statement Reds...go get someone.
JJ Putz for $3 million.....bring up Chapman...do something. I can't stand too many more times pulling Arthur Rhodes for Masset and his 6.80 era.
Dusty again rests extras as Gomes and Stubbs (2 key contributors for the offense) and we score a big fat 0.

They've lost 2 games in a row, there is no reason to flush the season down the toilet yet. The bullpen hurt us again tonight, but you guys are ignoring the fact that they didn't score a run either. The Reds have got to get a little more from Votto

Umm, its not just 2 games in a row, its 6 out of the last 9. 5 of those losses the bullpen gave up AT LEAST 2 runs. 3 of those losses were by 2 runs or less, and 1 was by 3 runs. Our bullpen is playing us out of every close game lately. I have no faith in our team winning if we're facing a pitcher who is going to hold our offense to less than 4 runs. It ain't happenin'.

They've played an easy schedule so far. All the high offensive numbers are basically due to a week or two of going off for a bunch of runs every other night. This is pretty much a .500 team, still young, and still can't hit good pitching at all. As long as St. Louis doesn't run away with the division the Reds have a shot to make a run.

How did I ignore the offense putting up 0....not only did I mention it I specifially, I gave one of the main reasons for it by sitting Gomes and Stubbs on the same day.
I also didn't say anything about the Reds not winning....just believe it is time to make a move as Masset is now equal to Todd Coffey....without the sprint....and freaking Dusty that rests multiple starters will continue using Masset in key situations.....and that is not good.

Yeah like I said before, I'm not sure why Dusty rests guys in bulk.

Mainly to keep prooving that he is not a good MLB manager....he just doesn't get it.
