There is a lot of drilling going on in North Texas. While most is related to the gas deposits in the Barnett Shale, there are some wells pulling oil. Although, I'd be willing to bet the initial thought of it being an oil well is related to what has taken place in the Gulf. Keep the pressure on Big Oil I guess. Anyway, I just hope that I don't have to worry about any of that near me. There are a least 5 gas drilling sites within a 2 mile radius of my house. And, soon enough, there will be another one within eye distance to pull deposits from my neighborhood and a few others around me.
