So are we going to start using the warning system and after so many they get banned? Or how are we going to go about this. I was just looking at the pro-sports forum and it's still the same old.

Yes, I want to start using the infraction system to keep track of warnings and start banning the idiots who can't follow the few simple rules we have. Let me check out some settings and I will report back with how to use the system.

I set up a "Personal Attack" infraction that expires after a month. You get 1 point for this infraction. After 3 points it automatically moves you to the banned usergroup for a week. Essentially, after three personal attack infractions in one month you get a one week ban. I want to set something up so after three one week bans your gone for good. We might have to keep track of that manually, not sure.

Can you set up one for the poli forum that is like "poli forum infraction" and after 3 it moves them to the group of people under 10 posts?

How would that work as far as not duplicating infractions?
Like, let's say that one fine day I see a thread with this:

SYL: LOL PEDO PEDO PEDO LOL
SKANK: I fucked your mom!!!!
And I'm like, "Time to die, bitches!" and slam the infraction gun down on the Idiot Trinity. How would that work if someone else already has done so? Or if after I do so, someone else goes after them? Or would things be set up where, due to said posts being unapproved or whatever, that couldn't happen?

I'd say infract, then unapprove. It will also make note of posts that have infractions already, I think.

I think I've got this setup right.
In order to fake it, I made Politics Infractions worth 20 points. After you get 60 points you are moved to the "Banned from Politics" usergroup.
This will allow for you to give infractions in there and infractions given elsewhere won't trigger the Politics ban since they would need 60 of them at 1 point each.
Hopefully that makes sense.

But it won't move people into the regular banned usergroup cause they have >3?

Or, since Politics is already a "privilege" we could always make it that you are banned from poli after 2 and a normal ban after 3? I mean, since we already make it that you can't post in there until you have 10 posts anyways, and I don't really think the majority of politics posters will have any probelms getting infractions in other areas.

With the 'points infraction' system...I know you don't want any cursing in the high school forums. Surely by now, everyone is well aware of that. So, when someone curses...should I do the 'infraction' or just edit it out and send them a message? Just curious on how you want me to handle that.

I have solved the problem for the politics forum ban and points...
Ok, so you make a general ban at 6 points and a politics ban at 5 points...
you make there be 2 politics forum options, 1 is worth 1 point, and 1 is worth 2 points. The general infraction points are worth 2.
in the poli forum, the points total would go... 1-3-5 and a ban at 5
The general points totals would go... 2-4-6
Each allowing their own respective bans but not interfering with the other.
