sad to hear it.....what a class act; one of the true originals and universally respected.

the success of NCAA basketball, and its prominence today...owes a huge gratitude to Wooden and his UCLA dynasty;
....and his primer on how to put on your socks.

anybody that can get earn the respect of such giant egos as Bill Walton and Kareem...you gotta admire that guy.

God's speed to Coach Wooden. The GOAT of coaches.

I re.member reading his book while I was in junior high, just an incredible man.

I think it is a very uplifting day in sports, and in general when such a wonderful, humble, loving, good man lived such a full life with 35 wonderful productive years of "retirement". He always tried to help and teach others. I just saw a clip of him talking to his team during a time out and his English teacher language was there. I don't think you'd find this language too many times during a time-out: "How many times must I speak to you about throwing the ball down the middle". It is a great opportunity to remember and celebrate his wonderful life!

He's got so many great quotes. One of those guys you just wish you could sit down with and talk to for awhile.

the definition of "a full life";

that is just about as good as it gets.

I keep seeing "sad day in sports". The man was 99, he had given his life to a sport and ultimately changed it for the better.
