Anyone else in theirs?
I'm home alone so I grabbed my dogs, phone, phone charger, laptop, external harddrive(didn't grab it's wires just the hard part) and am watching the news in my basement!

That's where I've been sleeping for the past 2 weeks. About a 28 degree difference from my room. That won't change until the leaves start changing colors.

You're fine in Pickerington, always were, get out of your goddamn basement
The tornado warning was for the extreme NE corner of the county, heading into Licking.
Should have got a little windy for you (40-50 MPH gusts), but nothing too bad.
70MPH wind gust report in Westerville at 8:05, though.

haha I'm out now, but they were reporting it was heading east and my front tree was bending. No chances from this guy.

here around youngstown the tornado sirens went off and people on the news were in a panic. i was going to go out for a run, but then it started raining. i really dont take tornado warnings seriously unless there actually is a tornado, which there never is.

My basement got super flooded so I spent most of the hard rain/heavy lightning outside trying to make the river go away from my house and setting up buckets where the spouting was over flowing. I also had to climb out on the roof and repair a temporary cover that was leaking. Just about fell off the fucker.
The gas company had moved our meter outside last fall and from the rain today it was just gushing through the whole in the basement where the meter used to be. Apparently they did a shoddy job of sealing it up. They will be getting a phone call tomorrow.

I'd be fucking pissed. Should get them to cover damages.

I was watching WKBN/WYTV online with Wetzl, Guthrie, and Boney, and was on the phone with the family in Salem (they got nothing from it because the storm basically ran straight down Mahoning Ave.).
Lots of hail with it, and Wetzl ended up showing a picture from the public that he was damn sure was a funnel cloud. The storm was definitely rotating in Portage and western Mahoning counties from what I was following on RADAR.
I think a lot of people up there freaked this time because Monday was the 25th anniversary of the F5 that completely fucked up Newton Falls and Niles, and it has been in the news a lot lately. The warning was rightly issued, though.

yeah i was watching WFMJ and they kept saying there were no reports of an actual tornado. and yeah, from watching the radar, salem wasnt even close the area where they thought a tornado could show up, mostly north of Rt 224. i also think there was a lot more hype because of the recent anniversary of that tornado.ts1227;377289 wrote:I was watching WKBN/WYTV online with Wetzl, Guthrie, and Boney, and was on the phone with the family in Salem (they got nothing from it because the storm basically ran straight down Mahoning Ave.).

Lots of wind right now with thunderstorms all around but our area looks like it will stay clear on the radar.

I didn't see this thread when I started my own... We have had a Severe Thunderstorm Watch, 3 Severe Thunderstorm Warnings, 1 Tornado Warning, and not one clap of thunder, no flashes of lightning, and not a single drop of rain...
I just checked the radar and it appears we may actually get a T-storm in the next 20 minutes! No watches or warnings for this one though? All the counties around us have warnings, but no us... Guess they actually want to SEE the storm before they issue the warning this time. lol

The one coming is not strong enough for a warning (winds aren't strong enough, hail too small).
AT 1031 PM EDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR IN PITTSBURGH
INDICATED STRONG THUNDERSTORMS ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM UNIONPORT
TO 9 MILES SOUTHWEST OF ROUND BOTTOM...OR ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM
UNIONPORT TO 4 MILES NORTHWEST OF FLY...MOVING EAST AT 35 MPH. THESE
STORMS MAY PRODUCE WIND GUSTS TO 45 MPH AND SMALL HAIL.

small hail sucks... If your gonna have hail you might as well have the softball size!

That would be cool...
However, I am concerned about your avatar... Are you portraying that when you drink a lot and puke, you turn gay?

never went down to the basement. By the time the sirens started going off the storms were past us according to NBC4 and we just sorta said "Bring It"
