What is everyones thought on field turf. I am curious on everyones take on field turf itself. Like or Dislike and why

There are definitely pros and cons.

I like the fact that all the bounces and rolls are true. There are no holes, dead grass spots, and such.

I've also played and coached at fields that aren't that good. A couple have had some rolls on them. Others have had 'dead' spots where there's more black rubber than turf. Also when the sun is beating down they become really hot! Also have seen a couple where they chose to put in turf that just wasn't that good (really rough, sparse)

The ones that are put in correctly and with good turf seem to be nice to have though.

especially come tournament time, field turf certainly beats some of the mud pits that too often host tourney games.

How many other schools around the area or even state have this in place now?
