The AD has filed blackmail charges against the former director of Sports Medicine. Now the interesting thing is that this is over excerise equipment that the AD got for giving someone tickets to the game. ( Last week it was reported that tickets were stolen and sold for personal profit from both KU basketball and football). Now that the AD has filed these charges a local paper had been in contact with the former director of Sports Medicine for over a year and didn't go public because he didnt have any more proof besides emails. What the AD didnt know is that the director of sports medicine also told the reporter about failed drug tests that went unreported as well as former and current KU players whos high school eligibility he calls into question. Now the director of Sports Medicine isnt the most reliable source and the local news channels are only talking about the blackmail but the bigger story might be KU not caring about drug tests and using players with false high school eligibility.
