Please read this article: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704269204575270950789108846.html
He Was Supposed to Be Competent
I thought this article really spells out the Obama failure and what we can expect from this Administration as time continues. With the three unforced error and now the Israel and Sestak issue how much longer can the Obama Faithful remain stable. The blame game, denial, out of touch, media bias and lack of acceptance of responsibility is getting old.
Not sure this Obama Club Team is worthy of playing in the big leagues.

As expected the LLS (Liberal, Left, and Socialist) have nothing worthy to comment when an article nails the Public Servant failures and the downward direction of the Amateur Administration and running for cover by the Party. I’m disappointed in some of you Obama Faithful Fans, instead of hide you could at least come out with a Bush did this or than comment. However after 18 months the incompetency the truth is coming to the surface more incompetencies to come.

1. It is Peggy Noonan, who is a pretty solid R, so anything she says should be taken with that lens.
2. Obama's poll numbers (even thought I don't care for them) have not drastically changed. They are still in the 45-55 range.
3. What the hell was he supposed to do at the start when there was no immediate indication that this was as bad as it is now. What would you have had them do, takeover operations from BP on day 1? I hear a lot of complaining, but no solutions on what should have been done. I admit, the government should have acted quicker, but no government or administration acts swiftly in a disaster.
4. I actually like a calm and cool Obama. I would have my President calm, like HW Bush or Ike than really emotional and making potentially erratic decisions.
5. Not only has their been the oil spill, but the President has had to deal with: China, Iran, North Korea, Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, the NPT Review Conference, ratification of the START Treaty, and various other issues.
6. I don't see your tie to Israel? Was Obama suppose to stop Israel? If anything the administration is pro-Israel as they have watered down the UN Resolution and basically supported Israel in the matter.

Real leaders work successfully at solving problems.
Activists and agitators work at placing blame for problems.
You can figure it out from there.

And I noted one of the comments that followed which squarely hits the nail on the head:
"President Obama has no skill set with which to manage, no knowledge base with which to lead, and no ideological base that is consistent with a republic and capitalism. To make this sad state of affairs worse, he believes the rabid press image that he is able to bring together anyone or anything."

These "debates" are always pointless because it's always "My way or the highway", with absolutely no room for any rational discussion because the Conservative position is completely intransient. Terms are thrown around as if the throwees may even know what they're talking about, but a cursory review of that notion proves fairly conclusively that there is very little about any of the terms that is really understood by those that throw these words around.

So says you. I don't think you have spoke a good word about the President since he took office. Is there any policy or thing Obama has done that has warranted a favorable view in your eyes? Is there anything the President can do to produce a favorable opinion in your view, realistically of course?

The answer is "no" of course on that front. Everyone just wants to piss on anyone who wasn't their horse in the election.

I actually don't think the oil thing is Obama's fault (just as Katrina was in no way Bush's fault), but his reaction to the whole thing is what gets me.
I'm starting to wonder if this is advantageous for Obama and the lefties- the longer this goes on, the worse BP (and "Big Oil" in general) looks, and the greater the chances are of a government takeover of the oil industry in the US.

Who that actually knows what they're talking about or has the authority to make such proclamations has said that they are looking to take over the oil industry?

How can a good word be spoken about him, when he has done nothing positive?
On the negative side:
Seizure of the auto industry
Ram rod through of disastrous health care legislation that the VAST majority doesn't want
MASSIVE deficit spending
Promotion of policies that are anti-growth, anti-investment, anti-capitalism, and anti-wealth creation, that all happen to lead to negative job growth in the face of alarmingly high and massive unemployment
Worldwide apologist for the United States
Tossing Israel under the bus
Allowing Iran to perfect nuclear weaponry
Failure to properly lead in wake of an environmental disaster
On the positive side:
Did help to create 4 new jobs: one in Massachusetts, one in Virginia, one in New Jersey, and one in Pennsylvania.

In the past 43 days what Public Servant orders have been given in the preparation to protect America coast line answer NONE. Terrorist in this situation comes in the form of tar balls and Obama has done nothing.
The Public Servant has done nothing but place blame and little leadership role to protecting and defending America soil.
Holding BP responsible is one thing but holding our government responsible is also deemed in this situation so what ever punishment, conviction and law suits and legal action should also apply to Obama Administration and our government that have connection/link to BP. Give back the fucking money BP gave to you Obama for your election or take the hit also. Obama you can’t separate yourself from this situation …. You took the money, supervisors, appointee individuals, your administration was on the clock and your action and reaction is yours ….. stop looking to throw someone under the bus. The only thing Obama has proven so far is he’s not even in the bush league. Unforced error spells additional failure …..

I'll agree with you there. It was bad.QuakerOats;376691 wrote: Ram rod through of disastrous health care legislation that the VAST majority doesn't want
More Congress than the President, since the budgets are radically changed by them.MASSIVE deficit spending
Your opinion, and much like the field of economics, the answer is unclear.Promotion of policies that are anti-growth, anti-investment, anti-capitalism, and anti-wealth creation, that all happen to lead to negative job growth in the face of alarmingly high and massive unemployment.
Examples? As far as I know, he was being realistic and honest.Worldwide apologist for the United States
Really? Kind of hard since the U.S. is the only country standing by Israel at the moment with the ship boarding disaster. In the NPT Review Conference, Israel was singled out, which the U.S. came out against, but continued with the document because it is better to have a workable final document that strengthens the NPT than not having one at all, like 2005.Tossing Israel under the bus
What the hell do you propose? Kind of hard to force your way to make Iran stop, like Bush tried. Iran is a tough nut to crack, but can't fault the administration for trying a different route. Hell, Bush tried and completely failed at it.Allowing Iran to perfect nuclear weaponry
Define lead? I take leading as acting calm, calculated, reserved and waiting till you have as much information to make decisions and actions.Failure to properly lead in wake of an environmental disaster
Hey, that is at least something. On the positive side:
Did help to create 4 new jobs: one in Massachusetts, one in Virginia, one in New Jersey, and one in Pennsylvania.

Belly,He Was Supposed to Be Competent
This was the headline of the discussion about the public servant's reaction to the oil spill over on Politico. It seems to be in line with some things you have said over the past year or 2.

Does anyone really need to say anything with this guy?
I think MSNBC read my mind this afternoon:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/37470151/ns/politics-white_house
From the article:
Key word there: "seizing"Seizing on a disastrous oil spill to advance a cause, President Barack Obama on Wednesday called on Congress to roll back billions of dollars in tax breaks for oil and pass a clean-energy bill that he says would help the nation end its dependence on fossil fuels.
Also:
See? The oil spill is the perfect excuse for these guys to take over something/ expand government's influence any way they can. To quote the famous philosopher/political thug/Obama chief of staff Rahm Emanuel:Now with the spill casting Big Oil in the worst possible light, calling for the elimination of oil company subsidies is one more way for Obama to show the public he wants to hold the industry accountable.
“You never want a serious crisis to go to waste — and what I mean by that is an opportunity to do things that you didn’t think you could do before.”
Of course, no one in the government is ever at fault, are they? I was kind of passive toward's Obama's response to the oil spill; now I'm really pissed after reading that article. Thanks, MSNBC.Obama said that the Gulf spill "may prove to be a result of human error — or corporations taking dangerous shortcuts that compromised safety" — but that deepwater drilling is inherently risky and the U.S. cannot rely solely on fossil fuels.
