At Fawcett on July 24.
"There will be 7-on-7 passing scrimmages all morning and afternoon at Fawcett Stadium and Don Scott Field. Every high school football team in the county except Timken has agreed to take part."

Both McKinley and Massillon are in the morning pool. Massillon plays Minerva, Marlington, St. Ed’s and Alliance. If you’re a player at Minerva or Marlington, how can you not get jazzed up about going against Massillon’s receivers?

McKinley will play Alliance, Fairless, Minerva and Marlington.

Louisville, part of the afternoon pool, has Tuslaw, Jackson, Central Catholic and Perry.

Should be a lot of fun. St. Ed's is in for no go Timken.

My only question is why Timken feels they dont need to participate.

I would like to know if it was a player or coach decision not to join in on the fun!

Why ask why.

But it is a very good question. Come on Timken...........it's a 7-on-7 for the love of god.

Does anybody plan on attending these pre-game scrimmages?

My older son was a running back so I went to see him play in 7 on 7. My younger son is now a center so he will be playing in them, looks like I will be back this year.

I like the raw format of 7 on 7 especially from a defensive perspective. You get to see how your LB and DB coverage is.

Timken had a nice deep threat in the passing game last year. They certainly could use the reps from a 7 on 7 league. When we played them they just seemed sloppy hope they can finally rebound this year.

Timken has trouble getting players to attend practices....IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SEASON....You don't expect them to show up in JULY do you?

It doesn't feature some of the bigger schools around, but there is like a 15 team 7-on-7 at Otterbein today in columbus. I'm getting ready to head over for a couple hours. Keep us posted on how the big names look today coyotes.
