Who are the two all-time leaders in strikeouts and walks AND have never had 100+ strikeouts or walks in a season.

Need the strikeout answer and the walk answer.

My first thought was Barry Larkin. He was always near the top of MLB in toughest to strikeout but he was still a good contact hitter as he hit almost .300 for his career.

Babe Ruth for Ks.

Bonds had ONE season (his first) with over 100

My first thought for BBs is Manny, but it probably is a person who isnt playing (aka a few extra years)

Larkin is incorrect...need a little more longevity...plus he was too hard to fan....need those 85-99 whiff a year guys who played forever.

Babe Ruth led the league in whiffs 5 times....but never eached 100 and is NOT the answer.....but another good guess.

Hank Aaron played forever and to my knowledge never Ked or BBed a whole lot. Maybe he is the answer to both lol.

damn! I JUST looked up his stats after that guess. I thought I had it nailed when I saw the 5 bolded Ks without it being 100 lol.

lol, I knew that as he is my favorite player (or one of), but I thought you might be going with a trick question with the "+" sign meaning 100+ and 100 was still good. lol

Pudge is the K winner by edging out Carl Yastremski by 3

On a sidenote Pudge said he wanted to play 3 or 4 more years.....good god.

I92, I was just thinking about this today, but you plan on doing the "Top 10 hitters in MLB" thing again?

I've been planning it......track season wears me down to no end....it is over for my kids after regionals so I have a moment to breathe a little.

Look for it Thursday......it'll be tough this year IMO

I think I mis-understood the question. Larkin was a dumb guess.

I'm gonna take a wild stab and say Lou Gherig, just because I'm pretty sure he never struck out more than 100 times in a season

The answer for most career whiffs without ever getting 100 in a season is Pudge Rodriguez

The answer for most career walks without ever getting 100 in a season in Hank Aaron

Gehrig is way under 1,000 career whiffs I think

Agree. I think a lot of the young guns that people had up last year wont get a single vote. I think Adam Jones, Justin Upton, and some others snagged quite a bit, and they are really struggling this year.

Of course, my boy Miggy will get his fair share! But thats a given since hes gonna pull down the triple crown this year :D
