IC here... Not sure what the scrimmage schedule looks like, but I am sure it will include West Holmes at home this year, and we will host the three-way with Columbiana, East Liverpool, and Southern Local. Not sure who the third will be yet... Last year it was Shadyside.

IC here-- I cannot believe the lack of interest in football so far. I see the players coming in for conditioning and am getting football fever already.

I don't think it's a 'lack of interest'...just don't think everyone has heard about the site! Every football is getting football fever!

There are other B8 fans on here, they might not be tuned into the football forum yet to see it. I know there are guys from Ferry, Bellaire, Edison, Harrison Central, St.C., and UL, and Buckeye on here. I also know of at least 10 IC supporters on here as well.

U, who is your team?

our schedule has us(shadyside) at your place 8-11 @ 10:00am. we also scrimmage fellow buckeye 8 schools UL(8-14) and ferry(8-19). should have us ready for regular season.

That will definitely give you a nice look at your strengths and weaknesses. IC is going to make some noise this year in the B8, UL runs a nasty spread formation around Kyle Copeland which is hard to defend, and Ferry is always solid...

An update to the Creek scrimmages... West Holmes will not be part of our scrimmage schedule this year. Shadyside at home on Aug. 11th at 10am as mentioned, a three-way with East Liverpool, Columbiana, and Southern at home Aug. 14th at 10am, and preview game will be against Cambridge at home Friday night Aug. 20th at 7pm.

tidoublegrr,

I hear that Shadyside has a very nice size to their O-line/D-line... Hear any truth to this? Also, was wondering how many kids did Shadyside transfer in from Bellaire?

yes everybody but qb coming back and the weight room and wrestling program have been very kind to us. silverio(6'2" 255) coen (6'3" 285) mcpherson(5'11" 220) duncan(6'1" 200) hammond(6'2" 200) and our center duvall(5'8" 180) te hudson(6'2" 210) fb marling(6"1" 235) rb sedinger(5'10" 190) wrs duda(5'9" 160) liberatore(5'10" 165) t. brown(6'2" 210). all but two of the above are seniors. this is how we finished up last year but i'm sure some changes will be made. there were some transfers from bellaire but i dont think there were any football players. i do know there was a transfer from river but he is only a frosh. playing teams from the buckeye 8 in the preseason can only help prepare us for the regular season.

Creek's line should be the largest we have seen in quite some time. They should be very athletic also. Not sure of their stats yet, but I know they will be decent size. I am looking forward to see how we match up against some bigger boys...

^^^when you scrimmage columbiana it should give you an idea also. we played them in playoffs last year and they looked like a small college team. i do believe they have most if not all returning. very big line.

Indian creek did not drop big red. It was a mutual agreement.

What are the IC fans' expectations this season? I hear 8-2 or even 9-1 is realistic. Gonna have to get some points off StC HC and MF to get in, IMO. Be nice to take 2 of 3 at least....

No disrespect to anyone in the B8, almost all of them have the talent to win the B8 but IC does have a good chance to go 8-2 or better. I know a lot of people are skeptic, a lot of people will challenge that statement, but the talent is there. As long as the player do their part and practice hard every practice, do what the coaches ask of them, and stay healthy, they will make IC history. As I said before, I haven't been this excited about an IC team since the 90's.

Creek will go 7-3 and miss playoffs due to their lackluster schedule. Possible that 3 teams on the schedule wont win a game, and 2 more wont win more than 3.

Well, you can usually count on StC being strong and getting some points, same w MF. I was thinking HC too but are they down. They are having issues out there right? IDK how BL is going to be this year with new HC and losing some key players. So yeah, IC needs to take advantage of tose games there. I think they play Oak Glenn who should win some games in WV, correct? If so theres a good way to collect some.

Bottom line is winning games. IC is easy to be skeptical of though, I know. Should go 8-2 but could go 5-5 too, lol. Let's hope not.
