What are the keys to this game?
I think Ohio State will be able to carry some of their momentum from last night's finish to tonight's game. If Turner gets into more of a rhythm and the shot selection gets better they should win. California will not be nearly the type of defensive team that UNC was.

As I said in the thread below, the Pac 10 is turrrrible. I'll take OSU by ~10.

Bucks need to pick up the intensity on both ends of the floor and KEEP PLAYING HARD no matter what calls are being made, shots going in, etc. Great teams find a way to overcome adversity, and if the Bucks want to be considered a great team they're going to have to learn how to do this; The Big Ten will offer LOTS of it.

I'll be sick if I see Kyle Madsen on the court for the opening tip. Also, how bad is Sarikopolous(sp?) that he can't beat out Madsen for playing time?

Didn't catch the Cal game last nite, but aren't they missing some key players with injuries or something?
This will be an interesting game for OSU IMO. I am sure they were really into the UNC going to NY. Now that they lost, I'll be interested to see where they are at mentally tonite. I am hopeful they are mature enough to put the UNC game behind them and show up and play a good game.
And don't kid yourself, no matter the PAC10 is bad, Cal has a nice team if they are all healthy/present.

This is an early season game that could get the Bucks headed in a really good direction after that near miss vs. the Tar Heels.

If only William and Co. decided to hit some shots last night this would have been huge for OSU in terms of early season quality wins.

This is what happens when a shooting team starts to hit shots, 50% from deep.

Cal isn't that good. No idea how they were ranked 12 to begin with. They had 0 good out of conference wins last year and benefited from a down Pac 10 to have a decent season. Even then they were only a 7 seed and were beaten easily by Maryland in round 1 of the NCAA tournament.
It's nice to see the Buckeyes take care of business though.

That doesn't matter at all. Last night OSU was getting wide open shots against UNC that weren't falling.gorocks99 wrote:FIFYdevil1197 wrote: This is what happens when a shooting team plays a Pac-10 team.
If OSU shoots well they can play with the top teams. But if they go cold their inside game cannot carry them.

Unbelievably sloppy play right now. Thad waited about 3 possessions too long to call timeout there.
Awful stretch.

It's great listening to Bob Knight call the game. He has such good insight.

What does Diebler do well besides shoot the rock? Serious question. He doesn't look to do anythingbut shoot a 3 and hasn't done well handling the ball.
