So this golf outing is definitely happening. I emailed the Progeria Research Foundation's director letting her know that we want to have the outing to benefit the PRF and she was thrilled.

In order for it to happen I am gonna need some help. Essentially I would like to get one person (or two) from each part of the state (NE, NW, SE, SW and Central) to help out.

Duties would include: rounding up item donations from area businesses for prizes, gathering monetary donations for putting the tournament together (other prizes if needed and adding to the donation total for the foundation), promoting the tournament (if we're not able to fill it with OC members and friends), acquiring hole sponsorships, etc.

We would also hammer out details regarding outing location, date, cost, menu, etc. I am still contacting locations trying to find a good outing package. I might also need a little help on that, just calling places to get information on cost and whatnot.

Any business owners or individuals on here who would like to donate prizes, money, whatever, send me a PM and let me know what you'd like to give.

If you are interested in helping out let me know which part of the state you are in. People with experience planning events like this would be preferred, 'cause I have none.

i'd love to help but I'm in none of the mentioned sections of the state.

A woman in my old office building does this for a living. Seeing as how I was friends with her, let me see if I can talk to her Tuesday and see if I can source (some of) her services for free. I'd also be willing to take on some of the Central Ohio stuff, no real experience in promotion, but you know the reason that I need something to do

My brother in law is actual in a Masters program for Sports Management and just took an Events Management class so I am going to see if he can help out and put this on his resume.

I talked to my boss. She said she would give a free carpet cleaning up to 5 rooms to be done by ME on my day off. Limited to Franklin, Fairfield and Licking counties if thats any help.

By "donate prizes", does "A Night With Heretic For His Pick As Top Female In Attendance (even if "attendance" includes randomly being near the course during this event)" count as something to be put in bold print on the advertisement?

I can donate at least a signed picture of Brutus . Though I could try for a signed football of Tressel and/or football players. No promises though.

Sounds good. I am planning on putting together a few flyers for the event once the place and date are set.

The new software has a "groups" feature, kinda like facebook, so I am going to create a committee group once I make the switch.

Yeah, that's a good idea. I will have a page specifically for this outing once I make the software switch (shortly after the switch anyway) and I will add a donate link to that page.

It might be pushed a little later, early September maybe. Not sure exactly yet.
